Mount Baldhead
If you're just coming to the town, you should go to MT Baldhead. You could go there to loose some extra pounds, bring your kids there to drain their energy, and also to see the great view. If you go there in the winter when you climb up at the top there is a huge sand hill going down the other side. Families can sled down the hill and have a great time! MT Baldhead is a great place for families. So you know what it’s like, here’s my personal experience.
Before I went there people told me once you climb up the hill, the view is great! So with all the motivation I had, I went with my parents and climbed up the hill, and well enough the view was great! I could see my school, boats and even Kalico Kitchen. Some of the history of MT Bald Head first the big hill was used for Air Force for a radar during the Cold War to detect the Russians. It was a radar. Now WZZM 13 uses it for a sky cam but people aren't allowed to go up there. It’s protected by a fence that has barbed wire around it. When I was climbing up the steps I saw message saying things like keep going and you can do it and chelsy+josh etc. When you climb up and down sometimes it hurts your knees. Here is the info. The cost is free and the entrance is at 735 Park St. Saugatuck, michigan. If you go by Demond’s, there is sign’s pointing to where MT Baldhead is. |
