Otavalito
When visitors come visit Saugatuck it’s sometimes important to learn new things and experience new things. Also, you just sometimes want to shop. Otavalito is place where you can learn about the culture and buy souvenirs. Otavalito is one of my favorite places in Saugatuck for many reasons.
There is so much to learn about Otavalito. Otavalito is located at 421 Water street across the street from the gazebo in Saugatuck. Products come from indigenous Ecuadorian artisans. Since 1986 Otavalo families in Ecuador and their North American friends bring cultural programs of music and a fair trade craft market to the international community. Fun fact approximately 50,000 indigenous people of the community in Ecuador are called Otavaleños.
This is a great place for families to come visit. You learn so much about the indigenous Ecuadorian artisans. At the same time it’s fun! You can even buy a little souvenir.
