Tuck's Treats
There are tons of stores that sell all kinds of Christmas ornaments, but there is only one store that has a whole building full of them and that would be Tucks Treats. Tucks Treats, also known as Tucks the Christmas Store, has everything you might want to put on your Christmas tree (which they sell as well) and I mean everything. In the middle of the year you're probably not looking for Christmas ornaments so instead you can stop by and grab one of the most delicious cupcakes you will ever buy. Tucks Treats is a great place for kids and families all year.
The ornaments that are inside Tucks are unbelievable. They have all sorts of ornament types from different shapes or animals to round and traditional ornaments. They are an amazing selection ranging from people to birds to one of those rubber chickens and even a few other holiday ornaments like Halloween ornaments. But most impressive is the sheer amount of ornaments inside Tucks, the second you walk in, lining the walls or sitting on shelves are about a thousand ornaments or more.
The cupcakes at Tucks are a bit pricey at $4 a cupcake, but very worth it. The cupcakes are decorated with a ton different designs, some have little patterns others have different colored frosting. The cupcakes are divine, they are so sweet but not too sweet at the same time, the frosting tastes like it was made by angels. Although they are so good they only sell them when they are in season. Those seasons are spring and summer, so basically when it isn't cold outside.
My first visit to Tucks Treats was amazing it was like I was in another dimension. It was a warm sunny day after hearing that Tucks has amazing cupcakes I asked my mom if we could get one on the way home from school. When we arrive at Tucks, (located at 252 Butler Street Downtown Saugatuck) we get out of our car and walk inside and it was like I was transported to a winter wonderland. Lining the walls and shelves were ornaments of all shapes and sizes it was an amazing sight. Sadly when I look to see the cupcakes that usually line the checkout desk they were gone. But it didn't matter because I was intrigued by the ornaments. I looked around at all of the ornaments that caught my eye like a tool themed area or an area full of building ornaments and even a spherical ornament which was of Santa which made him look absurdly fat which was hilarious. While my brother looked at the candy in the corner of the store next to the door. Beside him which I had not seen before was a giant nutcracker standing next to the exit it was so big it was as tall as me and I’m . When it was finally time to leave we left empty handed physically but not mentally because we found an amazing wonder of Saugatuck.
Tucks Treats is an amazing store to go to even if you're only coming to look at the ornaments or to buy a cupcake or Christmas tree. That is why if you are visiting Saugatuck and able to you should visit Tucks Treats, it’s a great place to bring your kids or family to when visiting. Hope to see you there.
